  1. Lots of stuff you should know
Lots of stuff you should know, and some of it will be review for those that have been in the cyber security space

  2. Cybersecurity is so much more than knowing the technical bits and bytes
Although I happen to be a contributor to this book, I found the other contributors’ input to be very useful and enlightening. Cybersecurity is much more than just a technical discipline, and it requires specialists to bridge the gap between technology and human interaction. The collective experiences of the contributors to this book will help you bridge this gap regardless of your experience level. You can’t necessarily buy the level of cybersecurity experiential knowledge shared in this book, but this book helps you to come close.

  3. Really good bite-sized food for thought
Too many infosec books are massive tomes with lengthy chapters. This book takes a different approach, one that I find most welcome. The curated essays are perfect for “read one and ponder” concentration, and the variety of voices is instructive in and of itself. I found myself pulling at least 1-2 nuggets from each essay, even when the overall topic was not immediately relevant to my current work.Highly recommended.(I was provided a review copy of this book.)

  4. MUST read for all InfoSec Professionals
Hands down a MUST read for all InfoSec Professionals, more so those that are just getting started! This book covers the basics of all aspects of security, including risk management, application security, DevOps, GRC (governance, risk, & compliance), successfully interacting with business departments, effectively serving your end-users, and so much more! You will find yourself bookmarking and highlighting very much!

  5. As another reviewer already mentioned, this book can only be useful if you read it once you’ve heard about information security for the first time in your life and you’ve got absolutely none IT experience. It consists of managers’ buzzwords and general phrases which are applicable to anything.I found ~10 articles to contain at least anything useful.

  7. I guess if this book is the first you’ve heard of information security it would be good, but if you come from a technical background and are looking for a primer on infosec then a handful of the 75 are any use.
