This book is an invaluable resource for anyone curious about artificial intelligence (AI) and looking to delve into its intricacies. It offers a clear and engaging introduction to various AI concepts, from generative AI to machine learning, making complex topics accessible even for beginners. What sets this guide apart are the interactive exercises that enhance learning and practical application, ensuring readers not only understand the theories but also gain hands-on experience.
I found the author’s approach to be systematic and easy to follow, providing a structured pathway to mastering AI fundamentals within a short timeframe. Whether you’re aiming to turbocharge your career or simply expand your knowledge base, this book equips you with the tools and confidence to navigate the world of AI effectively. Highly recommended for its comprehensive content and interactive learning approach that accelerates understanding and application.
Great to educate yourself on AI
This is an excellent, thorough primer that presents the fundamental ideas of artificial intelligence in an interesting and approachable way. Deeper AI subjects like machine learning and generative AI are explained in the book so that non-techies may understand the fundamentals. I liked how the author explained and pointed out all the real-life scenarios that AI is being utilized currently, plus where the future of AI is headed and what it could hold. It was also a nice touch that the ethics of AI was discussed.
A unique feature of this book is its interactive exercises. These exercises that the reader can do may help them get started with AI when they wouldnât have otherwise. The book does make understanding these AI topics fairly easy however, I donât think mastering AI with this book is possible. It is definitely a good intro to the topic and a good read to educate yourself on AI.
An invigorating and relevant read
There’s no better time than now to be well versed in the tidal wave of new technological advancements coming our way. Through the use of AI as recommended through his book, it encourages analytical thinking through the process of learning how to create a chatbot. The author gives many great insights along the way. I felt like his list of resources was also highly valuable for being one step ahead of the game. I would only suggest that the AI learning curve promoted in this book seems to be more geared towards Python/coding, as opposed to leveraging on AI for content creation, which I think is a different relevant interest. Also, although a very interesting read, I think he gives great resources but doesn’t provide straightforward enough information in the book itself. Nonetheless I still enjoyed it and think it’s an invigorating read to keep us up to date on the capabilities, ethical concerns and even limitations of AI, which is capable of sparking several important conversations for our day. Thank you for creating a book that acknowledges this.

One of the standout features of this book is its interactive exercises. These hands-on projects are incredibly valuable for solidifying the concepts discussed in each chapter. I found myself actively engaged, and by the end of the week, I felt confident in my understanding of AI fundamentals.
The author does a fantastic job of relating AI to real-life applications. From self-driving cars to digital assistants like Siri and Alexa, the examples provided illustrate the practical impact of AI on various industries and everyday life. This not only makes the content more relatable but also highlights the immense opportunities AI presents.

A grab-bag of AI sites and stories
As someone who has worked as a decision scientist in finance, my interest was piqued by the title of this book. You will not master artificial intelligence by reading this book. You will get a smattering of beginner-level exposition of how some AI models work and then a bunch of links to AI resources that assume at least an intermediate programming background. The author does recommend Andrew Ng’s Coursera course on machine learning as a good place to master AI for those with decent programming skills.
Easy to Understand and Apply the Aspects of AI
Easy to read and understandable narrative for beginners using AI. The 7 day reading guide was helpful to have to focus in on the various aspects of AI. The practical applications and examples were especially helpful. With so many resources out there for AI, it was nice to be able to read one that was concise and understandable and applicable.
I love that this book took me from a complete beginner to someone who has much more confidence in AI and how I can use it in my work. I enjoyed having the 7 day structure and I feel I can now communicate about AI with others in a much more knowledgeable way.
This book introduces interested laypeople to the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) in just 7 days. The focus is on understanding basic AI concepts and identifying real-world applications, without requiring any programming knowledge.
This is a great book for anyone who wants to learn more about the inevitable development in our world of AI. The author touches on so many aspects of our lives and how AI is already an integral part of it. He touches on the ethical side, job loss, opportunities, and much more. I did not read it in 7 days – I am still enjoying the content. Great job, and not a difficult techy-read.
If you’re looking for an introduction to AI, AI For Beginners Made Easy, is a smart choice. Or you could fire up one of the free AI assistants, ask many questions while getting some prompting practice, and obtain the same introduction. But it wouldn’t be as simple as reading this book–the work’s been done for us. Either way, for the next step, you’ll need to roll up your sleeves, use the links provided in the book along with some human intelligence.
Being a total AI novice, I was excited to read this. I love the chapter suggestions for each week to save overload of new information. Have learnt lots and feel much more confident about AI
