Eye-opening
As a parent of two teens and starting to hear some less than positive opinions about how AI is already starting to be used in some of their classes, this book pleasantly surprised me. It opened my mind to how AI (when used correctly) in the classroom can actually open up the doors for more human interaction in the way of personalising approaches to each childâs learning. It talked about using AI for the âadministrative tasksâ within teaching and freeing time for teachers to be creative and focus on individual needs of students and how they may need different approaches and support. I feel more optimistic about AI in the classroom, having read this book.
Classroom of the Future
Workshops for educators need to include this guide in their recommended reading list. I learned that AI is meant to be a tool and not to displace. It is like educators and students will be prepared for the classroom of the future.
Great overview of how AI is transforming education
This book provided a great and thorough overview of how AI is impacting and transforming education. As an instructional technology coach, I found myself agreeing with many aspects of the book which covers everything from what AI is and isnât to plans for a successful implementation by including all stakeholders to being cautious about the privacy concerns with AI in the classroom. I think this book does a great job of covering all the basis for those who are wondering where to start. I especially loved the QR code with additional resources for teachers. This is invaluable and I love that it will continuously be updated to reflect how quickly AI is evolving. Worth the read!

Helpful AI Tools for High School Teachers
Helpful AI Tools for High School Teachers
As a high school teacher, using AI in my classroom has been a new adventure that I embraced. As a teacher that likes to try new technology right away I challenged AI with queries I hoped would make it stumble. That part was fun. Now finding a successful way to use AI has been a huge help, thanks to the tips and examples in “AI in the Classroom” I have new ways to explorte. This book has given me new tools that make teaching easier and help my students learn better.
AI tools have really changed how I manage my classroom. With AI, I can track student engagement and behavior more accurately. This helps me address any issues quickly and also notice if a student is struggling or not participating. For example, AI can show me patterns in student behavior so I can help them stay on track and keep a positive classroom environment.
AI makes lesson planning much simpler. These tools help design lessons that meet educational standards and cater to different student needs. They also automate many administrative tasks, giving me more time to focus on teaching. AI also suggests the best ways to set up the classroom and use resources, making sure my students have everything they need to succeed.
AIâs real-time feedback has changed how I teach each student. For instance, AI-powered learning platforms assess each studentâs level and adjust the lessons accordingly. This means students get personalized resources and explanations. AI tutors also provide instant feedback and help with problem-solving, especially in subjects like math. I haven’t use this much but look forward to advances that will make this easier.
AIâs predictive analytics help me anticipate classroom challenges. By looking at past data, AI can predict when students might start to lose focus or struggle with certain topics. This allows me to add more interactive elements or extra help before problems arise. AI also helps plan the best times for tests and projects, matching them with when students are most alert and ready.
One specific example of AIâs impact is the use of real-time language translation services in my classroom. This tool has been amazing for including students who speak different languages. It allows them to participate fully in discussions and group work, making the classroom more inclusive and enriching the learning experience for everyone.
While the benefits are great, getting started with AI was tough. My school district doesnât have a clear policy on AI, and there are no plans to teach students about AI. This lack of guidance made it hard to figure things out at first. But once I got past the initial hurdles, the benefits were definitely worth it.
“AI in the Classroom” is a great resource for high school teachers. It provides practical tips that improve classroom management, make lesson planning easier, and offer personalized learning experiences. It has truly made my teaching more effective and enjoyable.
