Great Book for CEH Prep and Learning the Trade!
I highly recommend this book. I used it to study for my CEH exam for about 3 months and passed without any issues. As the author mentions many times, dont only depend on this book, but it is definitely worth buying.It not only explains the necessary material, but does so in a more realistic fashion. The author takes a personable approach and not a textbook approach, explaining concepts versus providing dull definitions. Each chapter includes quiz with explanations for the answers.The author also highlights different sections that are more important (and more likely to be on the exam). He also doesnt waste space by covering all of the basics again and gets straight to the material most pertinent to the CEH exam, though he does include brief reviews where it is most important.The book also includes a free online test prep with 300+ questions and a good structure for studying with different testing prep styles (mock exam, review with answer checks, etc).
This book is a good resource the exam and Tool kit for CEH
This book is a very good read. Like the author (Matt Walker) mentioned throughout the book, it shouldn’t be the only source to study for exam. One thing for sure, it’s a very good read – entertaining, tools and some really good examples.I passed the exam after reading this book and two other one, including one from Ric Messier (v10), and going through lots of questions and answer.
A great read
This book doesnât overcomplicate CEH and it is also very engaging, particularly for a text book. I got the book for a class and I enjoyed it so much I even read the chapters that were not assigned, despite the fact that Iâm not even studying for the exam.
Good book in general
I like that the book is not that fluff like the EC council’s guide. However, I found a mistake in the book regarding Asymmetric encryption. A private key is used to decrypt, and public for encrypting.
Great study material and interesting to read.
I picked this book up after I got tired reading the official EC-Council textbook. The book is easier to digest and was a lot of fun to read. It helped me pass CEHv11 on my first try.

Matt Made It Simple
I haven’t finished this book yet, but man, it’s worth the money. Matt’s humors, illustrations, and explanations of difficult subjects make things really simple; subnetting, port mirroring, IPv6, you name it, are all simplified. Additionally, the exam tips and what to watch out for in the exam are amazing.
I swear i never write reviews, but this book was written with so much passion and it is such a good preperation for the CEH-Exam, that i feel its my duty to write this comment. Thank you Matt for this fantastic book!
Very useful to study for CEH standard exam. Be aware that nowadys the exam is in his 12th version, so you will need an updated edition.This book has also a key to access an online platform to take exercises and exam simulations.
