Book is riddled with typos, and endless filler. Does not adequately prepare you for the DEVASC exam
I read this book cover to cover, and was very unimpressed. Especially when compared to the other official cert guides (e.g., the CCNA guide), this book seemed hastily cobbled together without very much attention given to cohesiveness or, in some instances, accuracy!I would recommend any one of a dozen other resources for studying for this exam rather than wasting your money on this book (Google Nick Russo’s study guides!). It was as if an editor was never consulted before rushing it out the door. The bulk of the text seems to have been written by someone whose first language was not English, and makes for very awkward reading.The worst part about this book, by far, is that it woefully fails to prepare you for the DevAsc exam–including and especially the bonus content! The practice exams that come with this book are about 60% as difficult as the actual exam, and give you a very false sense of what you will encounter on test day.Given the subject matter of this book (half of it is not Cisco-specific, and the other half can mostly be found online for free on Cisco’s own websites!), even taking into consideration the updates and errata published online, it just doesn’t really make sense to buy this book.
Save your money
This is by far the worst cert guide Iâve ever used OR the exam is the worst written. There is a huge amount of material tested that is not even remotely covered in this guide. As well as clear disconnects from the exam. When referring to Bash scripting the guide literally say âThis is outside the scope of the examâ but the blueprint has numerous bash script read as well as the examination has bash script questions. If you subscribe to safari donât bother with this dude video course either itâs actually worse than the book.
Good book and was received in good condition
It is a very good option to begin understand the new cisco career path and new technologies
This doesn’t seem as dry as the old Cisco Cert Guide books – which is nice.

Good content, covered all the basics required for DEVASC, and of course additional deep dive needed on each item for the exam prep.
