With The All-In-One Guides I have passed the exams on the first try everytime
These books are my go to when it comes to any certification exam. I have taken 7 different CompTIA exams using these books and other training as well (videos, labs, assessments, etc.) and passed every single one on the first try. I would highly recommend these books and found that others fell short in many areas or were just plain boring to read that felt like cash grabs. However, these are not books that you can read through and just pass the test, if you want to set yourself up for success then do not fall into the trap of “Learning Styles” and restrict yourself to one medium of learning … which there is not scientific proof that they exist. Along with the book… I would recommend getting some video training that follows along with the objectives of the test, doing hands on exercises, and doing lots of practice tests.
Purchased this book for the PenTest+ Certification
I purchased this book based on the first edition of this book which was very good. However this book has a bit of a falling off. It seems like a lot of fluff was added, and the rhythm of this book. It seems like the author was loosing focus. I know authors do collaborations, but this one has damaged this book bit for me. However, I am still reading and will see how it pans out towards the end.
The practice questions are terrible
The book has a lot of good information, but the practice questions are absolutely terrible. They were likely written by a single person who didn’t really think through the distractors, so many of them have multiple answers. Some of the coding ones are just so clearly written by someone who has never written an actual line of code that I can’t believe the publisher let them through this way. I won’t break any rules by writing out protected content here, but there is a Ruby question that has an assignment statement on the first line, the variable by itself on the second line, and then the hashrocket symbol pointing to a number on the third line, and the hint thinks this is a counting loop. It’s utter trash.I got through about 10 questions before I stopped wasting my time. Read through the book if you can get the ecopy, but don’t even bother with the testing engine. It’s just not worth it.

Just as described
The book is exactly as described. I used the videos that follow the book as well.
Ottimo libro in inglese per la preparazione ai test.
Das Buch ist super zur Vorbereitung auf die Prüfung Pentest + 2 von Comptia.
