   “If you’re earning what you need to live the life you want and loving every day of it, you’re crushing it.”I was at SXSW 2009 when Crush It! came out & he keynoted; I had no idea who he was.Today, he’s pivoted into pop culture.With Crushing It!, he goes back to his roots. Understand—he already had a successful, $60 million wine business. He already had Wine Library TV. Understand, if email marketing & AdSense kept huge ROI & open rates, we wouldn’t have this book.But also understand, this book is about the journey. The journey available open to all of us. Couple of quotes that shook me:“Even with 1000 followers, an entry-level Instagrammer could earn $5,000 per year with two posts a week. And ten thousand followers could net almost $20,000 per year.”“You don’t get to call yourself an expert until you’ve put in the work—and the market decides, not you.”“How many people above the age of thirteen in America do not have a cell phone? Practically no one.”Instagram didn’t EXIST nine years ago when Crush It! came out. Today, it’s minting millionaires. Cell phones had a modicum of the marketing & broadcasting capabilities they have now. Many brands in the first edition—UStream, blip.tv, Flickr—have vanished or lost relevance.The tactics are different; the strategies remain the same. Intent, Authenticity, Passion, Patience, Speed, Effort, Attention, Content.What matters is getting into the game. This book starts you off on the journey how. Not only that, it shows you those people who’ve done it. Granted—it’s a little tongue in cheek that EVERY case study read the original book. But hey, author’s prerogative.Read Chapters 1-7. Then pick ONE of the other chapters & follow Gary’s advice for a year. I know—that’s crazy. But you have to build a pillar—we all don’t have a DRock or Babin to record & annotate documenting our lives. I went to the length of buying a second cell phone so I could always have a device focused on creation.Pick the platform you gravitate towards. And get started becoming a creator instead of being a consumer. Document, create, listen, consume.

2. Crushing It! will teach you how to make money around your passion
   Crushing It! is the elite guide to growing a personal brand, business, or following around your passion. It is not a get rich quick guide, or follow these simple steps book. Gary emphasizes that to be successful in any field requires work, but if you choose your work around your passion, life will be more fulfilling. In today’s current state of the internet this is possible, and Gary breaks down the principles and work required to achieve what you want. He doesn’t promise millions of dollars. He DOES promise you will be happy, if that means leaving your $150K a year job, to make $90K, then that’s what it takes.What is truly inspiring in this book are the abundant stories of those who read his first book, Crush It! and tales of their successes in applying the same principles taught in this book. Even if you read Crush It!, this book is a must read as platforms have evolved and strategies have changed. This is the new authority on social media use in 2018.I add my own testament to his teachings and principles. In 2016 I started documenting my life as a pilot and sharing stories from the road, trying to help those interested in an aviation career. By following his tried and true methods, I have grown my following to over 35,000 followers and made some money with this ‘side hustle’ as Gary would say. I’m no entrepreneur, but this book speaks to everyone.5 stars, I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to share their passion with the world.

3. Great book for any creator!
   Gary Vaynerchuk’s “Crushing It!” was a great representation of the modern day. It truly shows the new styles of art, influence and especially job opportunities that social media has created for us. It is amazing how much one person can know about a topic. But after looking deeper into Gary and some of his other books, it is clear that he is a knowledgeable, credible and dependable source for a lot of these ideas. Not just in social media marketing and self-branding, he also touches on health, how to respect yourself as a businessman and as a human. He helped me this year in a lot of ventures I am interested in. He shows interviews and bios of dozens of other creators that have “made it”. The book is very humbling. Gary shows us many cases of instances where I was better off than the person being described. It really put me in a place of gratitude.He also shows you how to take what you love and if you put enough effort in, you can make the thing you enjoy into a real business. He seems like an aggressive businessman, but he just truly believes in what he’s teaching everyone else. If you are an aspiring artist, entrepreneur or just a lost person, read this book. It will truly help you in the long run. Just the short amount of time I read this book my life and motivation has changed for the better. I would read this book more than once to really get his meaning behind it.Get the book. You won’t regret it. It will open a part of your brain and heart that will make you understand things about yourself and the space around you better.

5. Si te gusta el estilo de Gary Vee, el libro te va a encantar, se lee muy rapido y tiene muchos ejemplos practicos para llevar adelante. Habla 100% de las redes sociales pero en si se puede trasladar a cualquier aspecto de la vida. Lo recomiendo.

7. Gary does an excellent job as expected as laying out every single social media platform out there. He looks at major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Instagram and lays out both theoretical and practical advice for people to establish their personal brands. He also goes into some lesser know platforms, to show the readers how they can be used to their advantage. For those of you who follow Gary Vaynerchuk, this book is basically reiterating a lot of things that he has said over and over again in his daily vlogs, podcast, youtube, etc. just in a more laid out fashion. Book does a good job of pulling real-world examples such a Jared Poulin who have gained success via social media platforms. If you are not “Crushing It” on platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and others, this book is really a must read.

I have been following your content for past 1.5 years and man I have a huge respect for what you are doing and how you are helping all the people to reach their highest potential and living their live happily. I am half way through this book and while I am writing this review one of my friend is receiving Crush it for me. I have always been a fan of social media but nobody ever explained me before in my life that from social media I can be a celebrity or I can run and scale my business like you did. I have been researching to come up with my product so within 60-90 days I will figure out a way to show you that I am actually matching my words with my work. Love you Garyvee.
