Very good book
Very informative and much better then the manual supplied with the camera
Well written. Gives recommended usage of camera features.
Covers features. Adds good info for camera usage.
which is great, but I think it would be helpful to …
This camera is a big step up for me. In the past I’ve never had a camera with interchangeable lens so I have a lot to learn. I received the camera and this book (I got Kindle version) about a week ago, so I may be changing this review as time goes on. The information given on the auto focus settings is very clear and understandable, but I’ve used these types of settings in the past and want to begin choosing the settings myself. The book is very detailed, which is great, but I think it would be helpful to tell how to get to a certain function before talking about the function. For instance, I read the entire chapter on focusing the camera, then went back to try it myself using the book. I didn’t know how to get to the screen which allows different focus modes. Now maybe somewhere in Mr. Busch’s book it gave me this info, but it would be helpful if step by step instruction with illustrations where given along with his wordy explanations. Also, an index to help find specific info without searching the entire chapter would be a big plus. If you are a real newbie like me I would advise buying this book, but I’d read the little Canon manual before and along with Mr. Busch’s book. I’m convinced this book is well worth the money but it could use some fine tuning for the real beginner like myself.
A must have for every T6S/T6I Owner. Best of the lot.
This is the defacto book for the Canon T6S and T6I (yes, David explains the differences.)I upgraded from the Canon T3I and I had purchased Mr. Busch’s book on that camera as well.Unlike the user’s manual, this book feels like an old friend with his hand on your shoulder, not only explaining in logical steps and an easy to understand order what each funcion doesn and how and when those functions should be used. And beautiful photos giving you visual feedback of the differences. The personal recommendation boxes gives you tips for accessories, and examples of if and when you might want to get them for your level and style of shooting. The sections about using and setting up wifi, the different autofocus options (totally new for these models] and the lighthanded, intuitive way of explaining not only what a function does but real world feedback of how it will effect your results. This is more than a camera manual and how-to book, this will inspire your creativity and make you a better photographer, and leave you feeling like you were given personal lessons from one of the best intructors available. One last thought… Since your new camera has wifi, and one of the coolest things you can do is shoot your photos and immediately review them on a tablet, buy the Kindle edition and load it and the camera manuals on your tablet. If you need to look up an answer on a rarely used function, especially if shooting an unusual scenario away from home, you have Mr. Busch right there in your camera bag to help you out. The kindle edition is a little pricey. But in my opinion. Worth every penny. My galaxy tab s 10.5 tablet comes along on every shoot with me, as essential as spare batteries and SD cards.Thank you, Mr. Busch, for teaching me how to get the most out of this amazing camera, and making me a better photographer.
Complete Guide to Canon EOS Rebel
This guide is more comprehensive and useful than the little manual that comes with the camera.
24 megapixels outta 24
Get this for a far more in-depth explanation about the world of t6 cameras. I have a t6i and have learned a lot from reading this. I go to bed and read a few pages on my Kindle, and try to be more formidable at taking photos. I could not believe how complicated and extensive the flash photography section is now with all the options for wireless or off camera lighting. I have even ordered a new 430ex Speedlite to up my Q-factor for photos. I have graduated from on-camera flash. I like to photograph animals and birds, and they are beyond the capabilities of on-board flash nearly every time. He will also tell you where he sets the camera for all the various controls, and explains why. That alone should get you to read this and the Canon manual last.I’m not in Mr. Busch’s class but have used the t6i now for photo excursions nearly everyday for most all of 2017, and have only slightly disagreed with him on a couple things he said. Read the Canon manual for how features operate, and read Mr. Busch’s guide to learn beyond what flipping switches and menus accomplish. Many of his tips go beyond the camera and actually teach you more about general photography and how to take better pictures. You can immediately tell Mr. Busch loves cameras and photography. When you see how many chapters and how extensive the volume is, you will realize that these t6 cameras are massive computers in the palm of your hands. You buy computers today and they have smaller manuals. You think they pack a ton of stuff in an iPhone, the Canon cameras in the new age are technological marvels. AND, no, an iPhone cannot take a better photo than these cameras. Do not let anyone try to convince you of that either. An iPhone is a communication device first and selfie item next. Photos from these cameras on 24×36 inch metal material today blows your mind, and not your pocket book. Get this book!
Excellent book. Well written and full of information and tips.
A good book for Canon Rebel T6i/T6s/750D/760D users. Worth buying.
Livre absolument excellent.
Book is well written and laid out for easy reference. Better than I had hoped for.
I found this book to be excellent. It is quite a weighty volume, but this is only because of the immense amount of information it contains. I find myself constantly dipping back into it, and I must say I find it very easy to go back to the section I require. All in all I think it is the best camera book I have ever purchased. I’m sure it will be very much used.
