   This book has been an invaluable resource for me on my journey to understanding the basics of computer science and coding. 2. Beautifully written and bound BOOK
   This is an awesome book for the average person who wants to learn about computers, and computer software engineering. I took some computer programming back in the 1980s, and this book has refreshed my memory, and also introduced me to “block” (Graphical) Programming using the ‘SCRATCH’ language/compiler. Wish that they had, had that back in the 90s, as typing in the code for each command was a ‘PIA’.They also talk about a Programming Language called Python, that uses the traditional style, but w/out the “line numbers” that were required by BASIC, and GWBASIC that were popular in the ’80s. This book is based, supposedly, on the notes that cover(ed) what was taught in a class offered in a middle school.This book is 560+ pages long, and also has beautiful graphical illustrations. This book was written for students, so it isn’t loaded with terms and concepts that are way above the average person’s head. Unlike many books on computers and programming, you don’t need an engineering degree to understand it.Unlike many more expensive books this one has:1) a ‘stitched’ binding, thus the pages won’t fall out like with glued bindings, a durable semi-hard (stiff) binding.2) a ‘color coded table of contents.3) a copious index of topics and items covered in the text.4) tons of beautiful and fun illustrations.5) quizzes on what was covered in the chapter to which attached.6) an unbelievably low price.

3. Going to need a lot more than this book but its a great starter and guide
   8th Grade Homeschool Review:As a parent and homeschool educator, I’ve been using a set of books for 8th-grade homeschooling, and I’d like to share my thoughts. These books have proven to be a valuable resource in our homeschool journey. They offer a well-structured curriculum that allows students to delve into subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, and history. The content is clear, and the exercises and activities help reinforce the learning process.However, it’s worth noting that while these books are fantastic as guides, they might not provide all the answers. As with any educational materials, there may be moments when students need additional support or clarification. In such cases, we’ve found supplemental videos and other educational resources to be incredibly helpful. The combination of these books and supplementary materials has been the key to a well-rounded education.Subnote:This review is intended to serve as a general overview for all the books I’m currently using for 8th-grade homeschooling.    This is a palatable and easy entry point to computer science. Anyone looking for actual commands for a programming language will need more, but this helps one to understand the general terms and concepts of computer science in a note-like layout.

8. O livro é excelente, pena que só tem em Inglês. Eu conheci a versão em português dos livros de matemática, ciências e historia feita pelo Manual do Mundo e quando vi esse livro comprei mesmo sendo em Inglês.É bom até para adultos que não tem intimidade com tecnologia e querem iniciar em programação ou pelo menos ter uma ideia de como programar. Além da parte teórica muito bem explicada, tem a parte pratica em python e scratch (que é visual e bem intuitiva para as crianças).
