1. Good content, and unique and inclusive view
   This was suggested to me as a textbook for a video game design class at college. The book outlines the game design process in a very in-depth, unique way, and pulls from reputable sources for both the theories and examples.They also go above and beyond with what examples they use — this is one of the first textbooks that I’ve read that’s full of POC and LGBTQ+ examples, and helps me (and other minority game designers) feel seen and heard.

2. EXCELLENT BOON FOR ASPIRING GAME DESIGN MAJOR STUDENTS
   An excellent book outlining the design process behind all types of games.Great game examples and clearly written for everyone to understand.Definitely increased my knowledge of game design and helped me further understand what’s needed for my major!

3. Best Game Design book out there at the moment
   A new, fresh angle on Game Design. I really enjoyed reading it and it has become the standard textbook for our Bachelor students.

9. A fantastic little book with excellent online course materials – what’s not to like? This fills the whole between Rules of Play and actual small scale game design practice beautifully.
