  1. Builds a solid, clutter-free foundation in a rapidly changing, confusing space of GenAI
Writing a book and then getting it published is a non-trivial exercise. Even more so when the subject matter is misunderstood by many self-declared experts, it doesn’t help that developments in Gen AI are growing each time you blink. Mr. Musiol starts the reader without requiring many prerequisites. He lays down a solid foundation before quickly moving into advanced topics like Deep Boltzmann Machines and initial applications, prompt engineering, and training of the LLMs. After that, it is off to various applications from music and voice generation to videos and generative applications in other sectors like biotech. Towards the end of the book, there’s a section about the proverbial AGI, which is handled with nuance and balance. The charts and illustrations are an important part of the reader’s experience, and I don’t know how customers who only listen to the audio version engage with these graphics.Overall, a good book that becomes a knowledgeable guide as we navigate a rapidly changing landscape.

  2. Martin Musiol wrote a great book about generative AI, how it developed and where it is heading. This technical summary on a high level with its impact to business, society and environment really enlightened me. I got enough concepts to start working independently through the GenAI field, even develop my own startup ideas. Really cool!

  3. This book may be of interest for people who want to read a broad survey of possible and imaginative applications of GenAI. For a professional in the field, it’s lacking both technical depth and a balanced view on possibilities and drawbacks/ critical aspects. The author is obviously very excited about the topic and paints a very single sided view. What is really annoying is the wealth of redundancies, both in terms of examples that have multiple mentions and the permanently iterated sentence that there are vast, great, exciting opportunities ahead.

  4. This book gave me a great understanding of where GenAI is coming from and what to expect starting this year!It gave me also 100s of ideas of where to found a startup.Writing style: engaging stories, and many real life scenarios that the author knows from his work with many companies.Plus, when you look at reviews, beware of this “verified purchase” icon:
