  10. As someone deeply engaged in understanding how artificial intelligence (AI) influences both our personal and professional lives, I found this book to be exceptionally enlightening and immensely practical. It stands out from the typical AI literature, offering fresh perspectives and actionable insights.
What truly captivated me was the book’s framework on the “Three Competencies of the Future,” which offers profound and detailed guidance on masterfully integrating AI into diverse aspects of our lives—work, leadership, parenting, and personal development. The holistic approach ensures that improvement in one area doesn’t come at the expense of another, which I found incredibly valuable.
The book was enlightening, introducing a host of new concepts such as AI-Obesity, the principle of growth or pleasure, the virtuous AI circle, and the AI+human equation, among others. These thought-provoking ideas were not only intriguing but also immensely practical, making it easier for me to understand and apply the book’s insights in my everyday life.
I particularly appreciated the focus on critical thinking, and the importance of teaching children to critically assess AI outcomes. This approach not only promotes independent thinking but also analytical skills, which are crucial as AI becomes more integrated into our educational systems. Additionally, the book’s suggestions for incorporating AI tools like ChatGPT into homework are practical and forward-thinking, helping students familiarize themselves with AI technology responsibly.
The emphasis on building a whole new level of human touch in an increasingly automated world resonates deeply. It underscores the irreplaceable value of creativity and connection with others, reminding us that while AI can enhance our capabilities, it cannot replicate the nuances of human insight. It was also an eye-opener to see how the economic value of the human touch is increasing, opening the door to new ways of for businesses to create value and differentiate in their markets.
However, I found the discussion on AI fairness and bias somewhat lacking. The book touches on the importance of assessing AI’s fairness but falls short of delving into how to critically evaluate and address biases in AI outcomes. A more detailed exploration of this topic would provide a more rounded understanding of responsible AI use.
Overall, “IRREPLACEABLE” is a must-read for anyone interested in AI, whether you’re an expert or new in the field, a business leader, entrepreneur, worker, or parent. The book is not only very insightful and life-changing but also a pleasure to read, packed with actionable strategies for leveraging AI while enhancing our uniquely human qualities.

Bornet brilliantly explains complex concepts in a simple, engaging way, making it a must-read for anyone looking to understand the future of automation. I loved how this book places humans in the center of the transformation, showing the potential AI holds for us. This book is both visionary and practical, offering a hopeful and optimistic perspective on how AI can enhance human potential. As a parent, I loved reading it and feel I am so much better equipped now to give helpful advise to my children. Highly recommended!
