  1. An excellent book for learning about Apple’s new Operating System.
I have several books by the author and I love the way he intertwines humor and teaching to make learning interesting.

  2. Well organized allowing you to look up things quickly. Warmly written for any age.
This is a great book, well organized and thoughtfully presented for any age.

  3. Worthwhile to Keep On Your Desk
Awkward to read in entirety. Very helpful to identify and fix unanticipated (yet surprisingly common) problems.

  4. Difficult to read
The paper that the book is printed on is cheap. The “screenshots” that are used are VERY difficult to read. I found this frustrating. The printed text was acceptable but the screenshots were bad. Have not read the entire book yet.. but as I scanned the book the screenshots were of poor quality throughout

  5. Up and Running
As a first time MAC OS user after being a long time Windows OS user this how-to dummies publication was very helpful in getting me started.

  6. IMACOS SESEQUOITA OPERATOMG SYSTEM MANUAL
If your NEW to the IMAC and Operating System then you will need this book. It demystifies a lot of how the the system works. Highly recommend this item. cmsroberrt

  7. Not worth the money.
Cheap paper, poor illustrations and seems to be a cut and paste. Better information on the Apple web site and in other less expensive books. Far too expensive for what it is. I would suggest to look elsewhere. This series is not what it used to be. Waste of money.

  8. In typical fashion for the dummie range of books, this is very good. I have changed from PC to Mac for my photography and music work, so this is helping me to find Mac equivelants to my workflow. I’ve been a PC user (and IT professional) since the mid 80s, so some habits die hard!

  9. Previously, I preferred the Missing Manual series of books but as they seem to have ceased publication I tried this and was pleasantly surprised at the vastly improved quality since I last tried to use one. It still doesn’t cover encrypted sparse bundles, which is a shame, but otherwise appears to be quite comprehensive.

  10. As a new convert to Apple I found this really helpful. Easy to understand for the elderly non technical users like me, but it covers a lot of more advanced stuff that I will never need as well.

  11. the book is a bit like the old car manuals by Haynes, the info you need to solve your particular problem is not mentioned, tells you about all the features that the Mac has ,but how to carry out basic operations and solve simple problems is not there ,all too easy for the more experienced but after all it is supposed to be for dummies. very info on photos and maps.
