  1. Tremendous resource for online marketing
Oh my word! I have spent untold hours searching for and picking through tips and tools to help with marketing and SEO. On a shoestring budget, I thought I had tried every free or low cost tool. I’ve paid for Facebook ads, chased Twitter feeds, and spent a whole lot of time, energy, and money that have made no measurable results for my business.I am so happy to have discovered this marketing almanac. Tips, tricks, and tools are only a click away, but using Jason McDonald’s marketing almanac I can just click. The organization and hotlinks save me so much time, energy, and frustration. McDonald has organized what he has learned, cutting through the hype to get you to the marketing tools you need. The book covers marketing, SEO, social media, email campaigns, signups, and the biggest marketing monster of them all, Google Ads (Have you ever beat your head against the wall of AdWords, analytics, and cost?). And stop the presses; I found a little known tool Google provides for non-profits, which is what I run. I’m telling you, this book has saved me a lot of trouble. It’s so inexpensive, yet so helpful. I’ve recommended my friends and colleagues grab a copy and keep it handy.Even if you are new to online marketing, you’ll find plenty of free useful tips and guides. There are resources, not just for making the marketing happen, but also to help you prepare your brand and your customer for the pitch and, ultimately, the sale. Stick with these resources, and you are more likely to find brands, books, conferences, and services that offer genuine value for your money.Confused by SEO tactics. The tools and resources to understand keyword selection, keyword density, and link building are all here. I spent years unearthing this information on my own, and it’s all right here. I found some of my favorite tools among the list, but was made aware of many more that will help me analyze page rank, indexing, and even how my webpage or website is performing when people are loading it.I am genuinely excited about owning The Marketing Almanac. It’s packed with the tools you need to master the marketing game. I’ve looked around at a lot of the resources, but it will take a long time to exhaust the references I’ll be using from now on. I have already picked out some fun new sites to improve my social media marketing. I use a lot of Creative Commons photos, so I was happy to find more search engines and sites that host Creative Commons sources. I’ve also discovered sites that will help me make my social media posts more interactive (I’ve been struggling with that for a while, too.).You can continue to waste your time trying to chase the latest algorithms in search and advertising, struggling for page rank, or do your best work according to the guidelines provided here by Macdonald. I choose the latter.I had to share my excitement and share my peace. I’ve got to get back to the business of marketing with this book and the free PDFs (with purchase) at my fingertips.

  2. Truly the ultimate guide to marketing
Wow! This is a treasure trove for anyone in charge of marketing for a company of any size. I worked as a marketing coordinator as one of my first jobs and I could have really used a resource exactly like this. As a newbie to the world of marketing I could have used so many of the tools presented in this book. Now that I am older and wiser, I can truly appreciate how many resources, tips, and valuable information is in this book. The layout of this book makes it seem manageable, as things fall in to four main categories. Part of the problem with a topic such as this is that it can tend to be overwhelming, so this helps. Each chapter is easily readable and understandable in about 10-15 minutes, so it would be easy to sit and just read a chapter when you have a moment or go directly to the chapter that is applicable to you at the time. He offers a link to a free PDF copy of the Marketing Almanac, so it is easy to keep one on hand. What I appreciate about this book is that he offers a lot of different types of resources such as books, television, podcasts, and tutorials. Everyone has a different learning style, so I appreciate that he gives an exhaustive list on methods of gaining knowledge in the area of marketing. Again, I am so disappointed that I didn’t have this book when I started out! Who knows how much further I could have gotten with my marketing career! This book provides great information on how to become a power player on the internet. If you are starting with limited knowledge this is a great first step. This book is not intimidating and so well-planned that it never quite becomes overwhelming. A truly helpful and magnificent book for anyone who need some insider know how on marketing a business. Thank you, Jason McDonald for the wealth of information!

  3. A great Marketing resource for 2019
The Marketing Almanac by Jason McDonald is a great resource for someone trying to learn the tips and tricks of Marketing. I was coming to the book with little to no knowledge of Marketing. So, the lists of resources and web links under each chapter were overwhelming at first. But later, I understood a bit better what McDonald was trying to do. Jason McDonald is honest with us that there are so many Marketing resources available that it would be disingenuous for one person to take credit for it all. The Marketing Almanac has thirty-seven chapters and each chapter begins with a short paragraph and then gets down to business with the resources. I mentioned that I was a beginner in this subject, so what is one to do? Well, first recognize what this book is meant to do. The book is accurately called an Almanac in that it is an up to date factual resource for 2019 on marketing resources. One thing that I liked about this book and I don’t see in a lot of other books is that the author actually gives his contact information. I think that contact information is crucial if you are the kind of person who needs to start with definitions like “what is marketing?”It is correct to say that McDonald divides this Almanac into four main areas and there are workbooks available for those areas. The workbooks include Social Media Marketing, SEO Fitness Workbook, Adwords Workbook, and the Marketing Book. I first became familiar with many of these terms years ago trying to make money with blogs on Google Adsense. I personally never made Adsense work for me but many people have and have even made a living of it. Adsense is just one example of where these subjects can be so valuable. These days though people seem to be moving away from fluff sites and trying to produce sites with real valuable content. McDonald’s information can help with all of that.

  4. Good Book
Had a lot of great details and good links. I would have loved to see some real examples of how some of the sites work.

  5. You have to learn until you earn, I found it good, Listen to it ..maybe you’ll dislike it, then it’s easy to exchange it with any other book.
