  1. Doesn’t cover it all but it’s a good resource to start
Passed the exam but the book doesn’t cover it all. However, it’s the best one out there for this exam. Sign up for the test banks (on the last page of the book) and take the tests over and over until you’re scoring 100%. Also visit the Microsoft Virtual Academy and watch the “Preparing for Exam 70-698” course. Finally, if there is a Microsoft Technology Center near you, look for the free “Planning and Deploying Windows 10 in the Enterprise” event and you can get a free full day of training direct from Microsoft. It took me five months to study and pass this exam.

  2. Videos Not Yet Found. Help!
Well written and good instruction, but it says it has online flashcards, quizzes, and videos…When I log in to wiley.com, and use the pass code from the book, I really can’t describe how lame it is.It is 100 random flashcards. And it will let you write your own quiz questions. That’s it…..I am starting to think the video was transferred to youtube, but the authors page just has 20 random videos….I think the videos are about a variety of subjects, but the titles are too general to be sure.Labeling each video for this book with 70-698 or Windows 10 would make my studying much easier.I am fine with the videos being on youtube, but that is not where the book says to access them and they need to be organized.

  3. Great resource
Great text. Very granular in presenting information. Far more dense and comprehensive than any popular video series could ever be. I’m totally prepared for the exam.

  4. Learned a lot and online material was helpful.
I took and passed the 70-698 today. I don’t work in an enterprise environment and this is the only book I purchased for the exam, but I spent a LOT of time digging deeper into topics on my own and using Hyper-V to get hands-on.The only errors I noticed were in the NTFS permissions area of the book: The end-of-chapter quiz answers did not match up with material in the chapter. (mostly pertaining to the modify permission) I just ignored that part, studied permissions elsewhere, and moved on.Found it to be generally informative and well laid out. The quizzes at the end of the chapters were helpful and the Q&A sections are well written so that I learned more from my incorrect answers than I did the answers I got right the first time through. The online material is certainly worth checking out, at least it was for me.You can setup flashcards, quizzes, and practice tests. Don’t expect a lot of variety here, but use them as intended. Start with the flashcards to help saturate your brain and figure where you need to focus. The online practice quizzes are straight up from the end-of-chapter quizzes, so kinda bleh, but good review. Save the online practice tests for when you think you are close and use them to identify any weak areas. I learned a lot here. While the online material really helped me learn and identify where my knowledge was lacking, not as much as I expected was on the actual exam. But seriously, who can predict what you are going to face at the exam? (I was expecting subnetting-related questions but did not encounter one)I think this would be very helpful to someone looking to pass the exam, but don’t rely on it entirely. Be sure to take the author’s advice and learn how to do things Powershell-style.I can say without a doubt it was a worthy purchase.

  5. Great Resource
Great material. Im also going through his StormWind training series and William is a great author and instructor. Planning to take the exam in about 8 weeks and I’m very confident in my ability to pass with this material.

  6. Took and passed the exam but this book only helped …
Took and passed the exam but this book only helped a little. There were quite a few questions that it didn’t cover at all.

  7. Pretty Comprehensive
Book seems to be pretty comprehensive , looking forward to finishing it so I can take the MCDS Windows 10 Exam

  8. Gracias por la atencion, buen producto, buen servicio, es lo que esperaba, sigan adelante con esta atención, saludos desde Guadalajara, Jalisco.

  9. This is the expert’s study guide for this exam and also a superb refresher, reference and guide for qualified IT techs who want to brush up their skills. My oldest grandson is just starting his career in the field and he was thrilled to have this book, for work and for college. Not only does it contain top quality, clear and easy to understand information, the added study aids, from flashcards to practice exams and in-chapter exercises and scenarios, it is comprehensive and easy to work through. His lecturers had only recommended the Microsoft literature but this really supports and fleshes it out so much more. Really worth considering if this is your field. Much different from my day when the hard drive was a floppy disc and all you got was the DOS manual to work from, which was about as clear as mud, unless you were already a programmer. This study guide is the opposite to that and worth every penny.

  10. まだ70-698の日本語版の本が未発売だったので試験参考に電子版を購入しました。 試験にでる内容に近い部分がちゃんと載っているので合格いたしました。

  11. Not perfect I did notice some errors and stuff left out for some reason and even a dead link, as for an exam book I would definitely study other windows 10 books as well not go on this one alone but a great starting point though.

  12. Sybex produce a really excellent range of IT books and this is no exception. We live in a world where MCSA exam passes look great on anyone’s CV and the evidence that you can install, set up, optimise and maintain Windows 10 is a really worthwhile achievement. So this book is really the blue chip text for passing the afire said exam, but it is far more than just a revision guide – this is simply the book you need if you want to optimise or maintain windows or just understand it better. I do not intend to sit the exam, but I wouldn’t be without this book as the ultimate reference guide to putting the operating system in order. The author is a high achiever and expert in this field and the book is very well laid out and designed to be read or consulted as a reference book. Whereas it s designed to get you through exam 70-698, this book will empower you and make you a Windows expert too. Beginning with a detailed table of contents, which direct you to exactly where you need to be, there is also an index of exercises each of which consist of a list of bullet points that will take you individually through over 90 processes that you need to know. This paperback is skilfully laid out with ample use of relevant illustrations, screen shots and tables. With clear fonts and lots f white save around key messages, this book is easy to read or consult. If you intend to sit the exam THIS IS THE BOOK YOU WERE LOOKING FOR!If you don’t intend to sit the exam but want to master the operating system and be able to keep all your PC’s running THIS IS ALSO THE BOOK YOU WERE LOOKING FOR!You could buy three other books that wouldn’t scratch your itch – trust me this is indeed the one!
