AI and the Brain – critical insights
This is the first and only book to talk about generative AI and how it impacts and interacts with what truly matters: the brain. Dr. Pradeep is one of the most brilliant and creative thinkers in business and this book is a glimpse into his amazing mind. Written for everyone, and a wonderful read. You will enjoy each page.
Critical insights for the Age of AI
“NeuroAI” is a compelling dive into the intersection of neuroscience and artificial intelligence. I found the sections on nostalgia particularly intriguing, and recommend this book to anyone looking to integrate insights from a range of disciplines.
Timely, Clear and Compelling – on my desk at work
This is the most detailed and pragmatic description of Neuroscience principles to power GenAi methods. I got my copy as I had preordered and I have started using it literally 5 minutes after I received it. This is a slightly long review as I am not fond of one line reviews. I hope you find this review helpful.I work for a large Consumer Packaged Goods multinational corporation, and I am a power user of GPT-4o and Midjourney in my business work every day. The output I get from these have changed overnight since I started applying some of the principles presented in this book. Frankly the output is better, and it does not take a lot to modify the way I work with the LLMs.I love the fact that unlike academic textbooks, I don’t need to read this book sequentially, and each chapter appears self contained, and is short. So as I am working on a problem, I just pick the relevant chapter, and apply what I see there to the problem at hand. This book is an easy read, and does not require detailed computer science or neuroscience knowledge to apply the methods. Here is a hack to this book – the subheadings are almost a summary of the content. I like the fact that I can skim these subheadings and get more knowledgable in about 10 minutes flat. The chapters on Desire, and Fragrance, Packaging were very intriguing. I wish the book had a few more summarizations and callouts, but the depth and detail is compensation enough for an applied practitioner like me.The chapter on how LLMs work was easy to understand, and helped me appreciate the technology we take for granted today. So all in all, I would say this will be a copy on my desk at work for a long time as I find myself opening this book many times a day. And it has just been a few days of using this book. I will post another review after a few months of using it.
Useful and interesting
This book combines AI knowledge with neuroscience. It educates and it also provides a comprehensive understanding of both fields. So it is useful from a business standpoint, as well as serving as an interesting insight into how our minds work.
Should be featured in college courses!
I work in graphic design. The book doesnât have to be read in order, which makes it interesting for me to take the lessons that apply to my projects. I like how accessible the information is!
a very inspiring book
Iâm already using Generative Ai, in my job and for personal projects. But with the knowledge in this book, now I feel like I can make even better, smarter use of it.
