  1. The Only SEO Book You’ll Ever Need
I own quite a few online gaming websites, so Evan Bailyn’s book, Outsmarting Google, came in particularly handy. Not only is the book written in a manner that makes it easy to understand and apply the information to nearly everyone’s unique circumstances, but it is flooded with a plethora of eye-opening knowledge. From emphasizing Google’s algorithms and coinciding factors, to offering skillful strategies for improving upon TrustRank and PageRank, this book truly covers every base and helps to make every website owner into a master at SEO.Before reading this book I was not nearly as familiar with the techniques that go into optimizing a site and helping it to become highly ranked within Google. Any questions regarding search engine optimization that I had prior to reading Outsmarting Google were answered within the book, and each topic was discussed thoroughly, and even enhanced with screenshots and diagrams that helped to reinforce the meaning of each particular point. One of the best things about this book is that it is easy to understand and really accommodates the needs of people who have little to no experience with SEO. Instead of just diving right in, Evan Bailyn starts with the basics and then progresses into deeper, more complex knowledge that helps to expand the minds of those reading the book and enlighten them as they absorb it. All of the concepts presented are very easy to grasp. The book is extremely practical, it makes sense, and it is filled with ideas and methods that I have implemented into my own personal SEO work. Thanks to Outsmarting Google, I am familiar with what to do and what not to do, and overall, I am seeing improvements in my sites. This is, hands down, the best SEO book I have ever read.

  2. An Outstanding Book: Lucid, Readable, Concrete
This is my first and only book review on Amazon. I have read this book twice, one to absorb it overall, and a second time to make notes of what I need to go do with my website. I came to this topic sheepishly. I knew I needed to understand SEO, knew that I knew nothing about it, and was tentative about really diving in. It wasn’t but a few pages in that I realized that not only was this an imperative, but also that it was very doable with a little care.I particularly like how he logically deduces what is important to the Google algorithm, makes clear that it is constantly evolving, and clearly separates the practical from the arcane. He and his co-author also make it fun to read, because they ‘write with a smirk.’So, after I read it the first time, I had a specific question that I thought I needed to address before embarking on a redesign. So, I went to his website, found a “contact us” section and wrote him an email. It was a Sunday morning. He responded within 90 minutes. This is a valuable resource. Worth every penny.

  3. How to SEO – Simplified
Whatever you do; do not read this book without a paper a pen or a word document open! You WILL want to take notes!Put simply – if you have a business, blog or website then, you need this book, period. From the get go evan does remarkably well explaining SEO from the ground up. Whether you are a novice or not this book is guaranteed to provide something useful. Optimizing for Google, Bing, or Yahoo Evans Outsmarting Google doesn’t miss a beat and will make sure that you have a clear understanding of what you need to do and just how you should do it.Pictures and examples through out the book aid to illustrate point and complex concepts and methods are broken down for easy digestion. The world of SEO may be foreign before picking this book up but they wont be when you put the book back down!! I would recommend this not just to those who own a business but to anyone who wishes to understand Google and the internet.

  4. The Best SEO book that tells the TRUTH about Google
I got this book and took it to work and placed it on my desk thinking I will read a few pages during lunch to get a feel of it. I ended reading it through my lunch and did not eat lunch. I could not drop the book. I have invested in over 15 books on the same subject but NONE of the authors have the confidence and intelligence of this young man. He knows what he is talking about and tells you the truth of the business that other authors intentionally shy away from because they want to ‘sell’. This guy is the deal. Actually I am completing my Master’s degree in Internet Marketing and I have to write about a ‘Master’ kind of hero in my field. I chose Evan and I will be researching his works and present a paper to my class. That is how good he is. I recommended the book to my peers and they have been very impressed. Buy this book. You will not regret it.Great read

  5. Google Unveiled
After having read 2 or 3 books on SEO a few years ago, I had become somewhat tired of the topic, for reasons which I couldn’t quite pinpoint. Well, not anymore. My interest is fully revived and I can finally identify what was bothering me in the first place. It is the fog that Google systematically shrouds the subject with: the misinformation perpetuated by its SEO spokesman, of which Bailyn writes, “his presence prevents of a lot of innovation in the SEO industry from occurring”.It’s all very much analogous to Coca Cola guarding its secret formula and the hype it creates by revealing an irrelevant ingredient. And that’s just one of the many illuminating analogies that illustrate the insights and concepts in this book. After reading about ‘the mirage of PageRank’ and the dispelling of multiple other SEO myths, for the first time I feel like I’m able to circumvent the smoke and mirrors in this field. It will take much forging and crafting, but at least there is now a clear and unfettered sense of strategy.

  6. I’m reluctant to share this secret because of the powerful information it gave me but fair is fair and it deserves a 5 star review and wholehearted recommendation. As Evan Bailyn says, in any case secrets don’t stay secret for long. Google is constantly improving its algorithm and as the SEO ‘experts’ catch on to Evan’s findings, it will certainly find a way to move the goalposts. For the moment though, forget about everything you have read or been told about SEO and buy this book. This is the one true authority and the only one you need. (For the moment)Edit. I should also add that the yahoo webmaster tools he recommends using such as the inbound link index are no longer available as they have merged with Bing. Things change fast!

  7. Some useful info, but mainly a bunch of fluff. The book is very small, I guess that’s how the y get the page count up to a reasonable level. Otherwise at normal size the book would be maybe 100 pages and half of that is fluff. I think people would be better served printing out some blog info on SEO and the articles Google has produced itself.Save your money!

  8. I should not write this review because I wish I was the only one with this knowledge.I have read so many books about SEO and marketing and most of them are hundreds of pages to get to one good point if I am lucky. Sometimes there are no good points in them. This book on the other hand has great advice and content on every single page and I got excited the more I read as it made SEO so easy to understand. This is the most honest and useful book on SEO ever written. After reading this book I placed all my other SEO books in the bin.I always put action behind my words so my company have just hired Evan Bailyn to do our SEO.

  9. Evan spells it out how to get to the top of google. The perfect guide for all types of readers but amazing for beginners (myself) who just want some clear step by step info that isn’t contradictory or confusing.
