1. Excellent starting point – few days and you can start coding
   The book gives basic understanding and practical knowledge, fast, clear, explanatory, and very understandable.Very recommended for beginners who want to start coding within short time.This book has NO unnecessary talks about the author experience and other bla-bla-bla as found in other books.For example, I bought other book and its first 38 pages are full of boring stuff about the author thoughts and understanding over the time – boring and useless. I wanted knowledge and info, and by the time, I’ll have thoughts of my own.This book is straight to the point – teach, explain, gives example for understanding, and “gets you into the business” within short while.Read the book trough – ad you are ready for coding.

2. As I expected, great book!
   Everything Jamie Chan writes is easy to follow, very informative, and absolutely worth my financial and time investments. I am a technical writer, and I can boldly encourage anyone who is interested in the subjects Jamie Chan writes about, to purchase them because you will find his books a worthwhile investment.

3. Great book for learning MySQL
   I bought those books that were paperback instructions manuals, like I usually do, but just couldn’t get into the full description and theory of SQL. This book, Kindle edition, went right into how to create and maintain an SQL database. I got mine done in a very short time.

4. Easy to read.
   This book one of the best one if you just started or if you want quickly refresh your memory. That’s funny how author find the way using project force you to type the code, and reread(this I hate mostly, go back what you already learn) information which should be read twice to memorize. I am not native speaker so for me it’s was difficult to read some materials but this one was really good write and cover not !!! less !!! for beginner book.

5. Excellent Book
   I switched position within my company and all of a sudden I found that I needed to learn SQL to become more efficient at this new position. This book did the trick. I was able to learn Python right away. The book is very well written with examples and a hands on project. I highly recommend this book.

   I literally finished this in one day and achieved results! Highly recommended! The price is a no brainer and the confidence in the subject I gained is priceless.

7. More focused on procedures, functions, and views
   I’m kind of torn because the first 80 pages are a pretty terse way to explain it, and not bad. For $2 and about an hour of my time it was worth it because I constantly struggle with SQL.However, I would say I learned far more from youtube, but did definitely take away triggers, procedures, and just had some extra practice. However, if you are a developer looking for practice check our sqlbolt or some youtube videos, this book is half procedures/functions which honestly are not very useful for developers. Another resource that is helping me learn SQL nonetheless. Not bad, but certainly not a book that will have someone leaving with the understanding you would want to tackle real queries.

8. Bought it to help a friend learning SQL
   This is a great book that provides easy, simple and completely explained steps to learn SQL. It is so nice to get something written by a knowledgeable person who wants to help others.
