  1. Look no further…this book is practical, inspirational, and timely
(Putting the AI angle aside for now) This book offers the best explanation I’ve ever seen about how to start a business from scratch in a simple yet systemic way: How to ideate, then find your customer value proposition, then test your go-to market strategy, then discover your profit formula, etc. It shows you how certain metrics at each stage can tell you how weak or how strong your product-market fit is. For each stage, it provides some real-life case lessons that show how some founders successful followed the principles and steps outlined in the book, and the consequences of some who didn’t. The author, a VC, offers an incredible explanation of valuation and a recipe for scaling a company once you find strong product-market fit. Finally the book touches on ethics: how to run startup experiments without causing harm to customers, employees, or society as a whole, and the imperative for and benefits of prioritizing social equity in your business. Now, let me talk about AI. This may be the only book in its category that not only explains why gen AI will completely disrupt how businesses are built, staffed, and operated but HOW founders can use it to do all those things (with an appendix on prompting). And of course the author talks about how to use AI ethically and safely. I highly recommend this book for every single entrepreneur because of how practical it is. New and inexperienced founders finally have a book that helps business building not feel like a guessing game. Enjoy!

  2. AI is the ultimate lever, and this book is a must-read for anyone starting or running a company.
