The Big Cheese is an irresistible hunk of cheddar who realizes there’s more to life than winning. This is a book about a bad seed. A baaaaaaaaaad seed. How bad? Do you really want to know? The Good Egg is a verrrrrrry good egg, indeed! Until one day he begins to crack (quite literally) from the pressure of always having to be Grade A perfect. Everyone knows the cool beans. They’re sooooo cool. And then there’s the uncool has-bean. ..Always on the sidelines. Is he cool enough to be their friend too?

The Couch Potato has everything within reach and doesn’t have to move from the sunken couch cushion. Could fresh air and sunshine possibly be better than the views on screen? This cookie has never felt like a smart cookie no matter how hard she tries. Could a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of confidence be all she needs? The Sour Grape holds grudges for everything! But could a bunch of forgiveness be enough to turn this sour grape sweet?

  1. Great picture book; powerful lesson on forgiveness; enjoyable for kids & adults alike
Great picture book that’s full of vibrant illustrations regarding the power of forgiveness & extending grace to those around us. Great book to teach younger kids regarding their emotions & the concept of forgiveness. This book is actually enjoyable for the parent or teacher reading out loud as it is for the kids who are listening. If you have read John Jory’s other books in this series (The Bad Seed, The Cool Bean, or Couch Potato) you will fall in love with this one too! Great addition to your family or classroom library. Definitely recommend!

  2. Great for speech
Love this book, excellent value and quality. It had a great message that lead to a discussion with my kiddos about managing our emotions.Great pictures and it’s so much fun to read.Highly recommend

  3. such a cute book
My daughter (10) and I loved this book. Very educational and informative. Such a sweet book. I loved the animation

  4. We love all the books by John Jory!
We wished these books came in hard cover. They are great for our 8 year old grandson who often lacks self confidence and friends and is prone to pout.

  5. I bought this series to introduce my 5 year old to more complex feelings. They present different characters perspectives and how misunderstandings can happen and be solved. The stories are fun and engaging.

  6. A fantastic book that has a wonderful storyline and really important messages to be taken in.Would definitely recommend to anyone!David & Sophia,

  7. Absolutely fabulous, loved it.As if it was written about my kid.Great illustrations and a great story.Have two other books from the series, considering purchasing the rest.

  8. We have been collecting this series for my grandson. The story holds his attention, and its not too wordy, or too short for a 5 year old with attention issues.

  9. I read this with my boy at bedtime and he loved it. A wonderful read, funny and easy to understand and provoked lots of thought and chat. A wonderful book we’ve read again and again with a wonderful lesson behind it.
