This book has been an incredible resource for developing my own website and understanding of WordPress. I used to rely on the premium plan from WordPress.com, but this book has given me the tools to take the jump and start building and managing my own site. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clear, well-laid out guide to WordPress.
Great book for beginners to WordPress but still leaves a lot of unanswered questions but info online can help fill in the gaps
To upskill/education
I needed some basic information about home pages, static or a blog style, this is basic to how WordPress works. There isn’t any information about this topic in the book, so I returned it. Two stars? …because it has some information but it seems to spend a lot of time discussing what can be done but not giving blow by blow account of how to do it. I bought a more expensive but more comprehensive book and I was pleased to find it had the information that I needed on home pages and much more besides. Not recommended.
Probably a good book some time ago but WordPress has now developed out of recognition so not much use
