Educational!
This book was a little bit of a hard read for me. It’s written in a very factual, dry style, like a report or a school paper. But if you can get past that, it’s actually pretty interesting. The author presents a thorough study of technology, its history and its implications in society. I appreciated the mentions of the impacts on the environment and animal welfare, and the sections on quantum computing, genetic engineering, and the 5g upgrades blew my mind a little bit. It’s a good, smart book, so I was surprised at the errors and typos it contains. Seems odd to be careless about those things, when the writing and the content is so precise. I think this would be a good read for people interested in how technology has evolved and is evolving, and how it affects us individually, as a society, and globally, as well as for managers interested in understanding how to use technology in their organization.Â
